A vigil held for Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager gunned down by Ferguson, Mo., police on Saturday in disputed circumstances, turned into what the media described as a riot on Monday evening.
But while national coverage has focused on the indisputably counterproductive violence and destruction committed by Ferguson residents during a moment of anguish, videos and photos taken from the scene show local police aggravating the situation as well.
no but you can’t group them all together and say they’re all horrible. some of these men and women save lives. you people really need to realize that they aren’t all bad and that some of them are amazing humans risking their lives on the daily. also in many situations of police brutality the suspect is actually a BAD FUCKING PERSON AND THE ONLY WAY TO TAKE THEM TO JAIL IS BY FORCE. you have to take more into account than a few fucking gifs
All snakes are not poisonous either, some help ,but If I see snake I’m saying fuck no.
Man, it’s bigger than “not all cops are are bad”. Because truly I know this. One of my close relatives is a cop, and was honest and good their entire career before they retired. But It’s bigger than that because….this still keeps happening. Uneeded brutality keeps happening. KILLING keeps happening. ANd many of the “good cops” are not standing up to the corrupt/abusive ones, in fear of getting turned on and alienated, so they stay mum about.
Honestly the point of “there still being good ones” is kinda null and void here when so many bad ones are causing so much abuse and death, and turning into a real epidemic. this shit can’t be just swept to the side and responded with “oh well there are good ones and bad ones just like everything else”. because the idea of this group of people having this power and a certain % of them being able to get away with this is a BIG problem
